Diagnostic Performance of Magnetic Resonance Imaging for Preoperative Local Staging of Penile Cancer: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

نویسندگان

چکیده

Invasion of the tunica albuginea (TA) and/or urethra are key factors in determining feasibility organ-preserving surgery penile cancer (PC). Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) appeared to be a promising technique for preoperative local staging. We performed systematic review (SR) and pooled meta-analysis investigate diagnostic performance MRI staging primary PC. An SR up May 2021 was according PRISMA statement. The evaluated TA invasion, pT-stage ? 2. Sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), negative (NPV) from eligible studies were summary receiver operating characteristic (SROC) curves constructed. Overall, seven qualified deemed suitable. Diagnostic showed an accuracy 0.89 invasion (sensitivity 0.78, PPV 0.79, specificity 0.91, NPV 0.90); 0.88 0.65, 0.46, 0.86, 0.93); 0.90 pT 2 0.84, 0.70, 0.73).Currently available evidence indicates that might one-stop shop PC play central role with regard conservative surgical management.
